Nevertheless, here we are, looking forward to seeing the sole parathlete competing in these games, when Du Toit takes to the water in the 10km open swim Wednesday morning.  Read more about her on her NBC profile.  It has been disappointing to see how little attention or fanfare has been given to the start of the Paralympics just after these games end.  At the very least the advertisers have been including token parathletes in their spots, but we haven't heard much about them on the TV broadcasts.
