You know those Nutrigrain ads where the busy corporate worker eats the Nutrigrain bar for breakfast rather than the doughnut and catapults herself (let's get real, this is intended for women) into a day full of salads and exercise instead of...oh no!...burritos and sloth? I don't know about y'all, but leaving aside the judgmental drivel, I would absolutely be following the Nutrigrain bar breakfast with a burrito and a couple of those nice-looking brownies at the meeting because I would be hungry. Those things are tiny. I would especially be craving fat and carbs because I had undereaten in the morning and skipped a lot of energy-creating calories. If I had experienced a full day as described in the ad in which breakfast was a Nutrigrain bar, lunch was a salad, and snack was fresh fruit, an entire pizza for dinner would be in my future. I recognize that some people are more satiated from veggie-dense meals than I am, but still, variety and a decent number of calories is necessary or the body will attempt to counteract the deficiency and you'll end up in the unhealthy boom-and-bust cycle associated with dieting.
